Loving
Paris …electronic music fused with the heat of Latin house
influences from Cuba, Brazil, and France…with live recorded
samples
"In
France, they dance" as many music critics would say,
due to the success of their flourishing dance music scene
with artists such as Modjo and Daft Punk. "Latin
Quarter's" first single "Success Latino"
soared up to the Number 3 position on the Canadian National
Dance chart. French producer and composer, Gérard Langella
(a.k.a. Loving Paris) much like his predecessors,
has created a genre of dance music that will completely change
how North Americans perceive the club scene.
Loving
Paris’ album "Latin Quarter" breaks new
ground with its innovative use of electronic music fused with
the heat of Latin house beats, and it includes a special interactive
feature. This album contains a software program that allows
fans to create their own mixes with the use of a virtual mixing
console, known as the DB-7x7.
"Latin
Quarter" is an album full of surprises, including
live recorded samples from Cuba and Brazil, and also featuring
an energetic version of "Loco (Virgen de la Macarena)"
with the alluring sound of the trumpet played by Mambo king,
Perez Prado.
Gérard
Langella became renown for his talents with the 1998 release
of “Don’t Try It” by ISIS featuring Marcia
Johnson, a Number 1 hit on the U.S. National Dance chart
and Top 3 on Billboard’s maxi-single sales. Gérard
has also achieved club and sales chart success with EMI artist
Precious Wilson’s “Spacer”, Lena’s “I
Wanna Be With You” and Sony Music artists The Foot
Brothers. Continuing to excite his listeners with new
musical ventures, Loving Paris’s debut interactive
album, "Latin Quarter" was released for the
first time ever by Canadian label MRP Music Group on July
24, 2001.
